Houma, La. Lowes store on MLK Blvd. 10-15-23 @ 2:00 pm. Looking at large Troy Bilt Garden tillers which they have two out front of the Houma,La. store. Price $999.99. I actually have been looking at these same two tillers since before summer, sitting in the, rain, storms, hot summer days, all weather conditions. When I arrived I immediately asked to speak with a manager about the tillers. I explained to the associate that I wished to speak with the manager about the tillers, how long they had been sitting in the elements and possibly what could be worked out on one. The associate called for the manager. The managers reply was the price is what it is and would remain the same, so it wasn’t worth them coming to the front of the store to discuss it. WOW !!!! Not worth 10 minutes of their time to discuss and close the sale of a $1000.00 piece of equipment. I listed the date and time in the beginning of my post so maybe someone would know whom the manager was on duty at the time, because as I have written, I never got the opportunity to see or speak with them so I do not know a name. HERE IS THE KICKER…. I wasn’t looking for a massive discount on the machine, I was simply wanting to discuss the possibility of having the extended warranty added on free of charge , due the the machines having been sitting in the elements for months… long enough for the books and price tag attached to the machine to completely rot inside the plastic bags and some rusting to begin on the machine itself. See attached photographs. I’m a Lowe’s Pro contractors account holder.. ( or have been ? ) for near 10 years. Considering consulting with the other options in Houma. If my business is to unimportant to gain 5-10 minutes of a managers time and attention for a $1000.00 purchase, maybe I have been giving my just as valuable time and hard earned money to the wrong establishment. Still shopping a tiller, one of the other outlets here in Houma is sure to be managed a bit better. Lowes doesn’t seem to be a customer service high priority business anymore.
They was nice to give some plan t holder to use. We there for a while waiting on someone to drive. The section I work for was pretty much empty but it was just after Mother's Day and I'm sure they was getting another shipment in shortly. They have a lot of different things there. My husband loves it. This day I went for plants
We went to get materials for our build (project managers at Aspen Contracting). There were a few things that we needed. We asked for help, and it didn’t seem anybody there wanted to help us. We were looking for 1x4x10. Thought we would go look in the back. Got yelled at for being back there (even though other employees have taken us back there before with no problems) and were walking away in frustration. An employee came up to us (Ron) and asked what we needed. He took it upon himself to help us find exactly what we were needing. We thanked him and went on getting the other items we needed. One of which was on the fourth shelf up , and even my 6’2” husband could not even reach. I went up to the customer service counter and asked for help. I heard the gentleman ask for customer help in isle 51. So I walk back there and patiently wait for help. And I wait…and wait…and wait…15 minutes later My husband came up and tried to find a ladder to grab it our selves. Ron was walking and stopped to help us roll the ladder to what we needed and got it for us. Again, his name is Ron. It is his third day on the job. He needs a raise. Good job Ron. It is not often in this day and age that you find somebody who actually wants to put an effort at work. I commend Ron for this. Good job Ron. The world needs more people like you.
Experienced 1st class service thanks to Annette and Zack. They both spent a lot of time helping me and my wife find just what we needed. The help was greatly appreciated.
